Our inventory of 20,000 tons comprises nearly 35 different types of high-grade structural steel and special steel, some of which have undergone different heat treatments. Depending on the material, the round dimensions we stock range in diameter from 16 mm to 1,000 mm. We also stock flat and square dimensions in selected materials. This high product diversity and availability enable us to have special steels and common materials ready for shipment within 1-2 days – as standard lengths, fixed cuts, or perforated discs. Detailed information on the individual steels can be found on the respective product pages.
Quality that offers more than the standard
Common standards such as DIN, EN, ISO, etc. set generally accepted standards for the properties of a material. However, our steels offer more: On the one hand, our strict technical ordering specifications specifically limit the standard requirements. For example, depending on whether a chemical element has a positive or negative effect on quality, the mass contents of selected elements are limited to the upper or lower standard range. On the other hand, we define specifications and tests that are not explicitly prescribed in the general material standards. This applies, for example, to the degree of forming, the degree of purity, or ultrasonic testing. This not only saves you time and money in mechanical processing, but also increases the quality and service life of your products.
Your advantages at a glance:
- Optimized chemical compositions for excellent mechanical properties
- Low sulfur and oxygen content for high sulfide and oxide purity levels
- High forming degrees as a guarantee for sharp ultrasonic testing
- Compliance with company-specific quality requirements (Renk, ZF Friedrichshafen, etc.)
- Material approved by classification societies (ABS, BV, DNV GL, LR, RINA, RMRS, TÜV, etc.)
- Special strengths above the standard specifications for special areas of application
When procuring materials, we rely on long-standing partnerships with the respective suppliers. Most of the steel mills we work with manufacture in Germany or Europe. As a result, more than 80% of our inventory comes from German or European production. This not only ensures reliable compliance with our technical ordering specifications, but also a high degree of supply security.
